Harvey Erickson has over 50 years of experience as a Real Estate Appraiser and Advisor. His time and experience in the market provides his clients with a competitive economic advantage in making decisions based on sound practical advice and professionally formulated opinions.
Harvey loves business of all kind and if he could, he would offer his well-earned knowledge and skills for another 50 years. He is presently mentoring Craig Bakala in the art of residential appraisals. He is supported by our Office Manager, Tammy McKenzie, these three people offer a dynamic, knowledgeable, professional group of real estate analysts.
In his off-time Harvey can be found travelling the world, exploring, enjoying life with friends & family.
Bryan Chambers
P.App., AACI, DiplT
Bryan Chambers has been a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada for over 30 years. He has worked for government agencies, banks and private firms. Starting with A -1 Appraisals Ltd in 2005 he worked towards obtaining his AACI designation and became the owner of the company in 2015. He has specialized in high end custom lake front homes and acreages, as well as commercial, industrial and development properties in the Central Okanagan for the past 20 years. The last three years Bryan has been an associate at NCA Commercial Inc. completing primary commercial property appraisals. More recently he has joined the North Country Appraisals Group and completes all types of assignments in the Okanagan and East Kootenays for lending, court, estate, and insurance purposes.
Bryan is the past president of the Appraisal Institute of Canada – British Columbia Association and has sat on the AIC Board of Review for oral exams.
Derek Van Lersberghe
P.App., AACI
Derek began his appraisal career in 1992 shortly after graduating from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1990 with an Accounting Major in Business Administration. He completed his real estate appraisal courses through the University of Alberta and the University of British Columbia. He obtained his CRA designation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 1998 and his P. App, AACI Designation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 2003.
Thus far, the experience has included copious assignments throughout urban and rural settings, including numerous going-concern commercial appraisals throughout British Columbia, Alberta in addition to Saskatchewan. Derek has wide-ranging commercial expertise in land, retail, industrial, office and going concern properties, including hotel/motels, gas stations, rural grocery stores, liquor stores, and agricultural properties. He has extensive experience in all single-family dwellings, including corporate employee relocation appraisals, and multi-family housing, including low- and high-rise apartments.
Derek’s career has remained focused on property valuation, with additional experience in consulting and litigation support. Additionally, Derek has extensive experience with candidate mentoring and office management. He has also been declared an expert in Residential and Commercial Real Estate by the Court of King’s Bench and has represented clients in lease rate disputes. Derek currently resides in West Kelowna with his wife, where he remains active with his family and taking on new renovation projects. In his spare time, Derek enjoys playing hockey and golf, camping, and scuba diving in Mexico.

Tammy McKenzie
Office Manager
Tammy is our Office Manager for our North Country Appraisals Group of Companies. She has over 20 years of administrative experience in real estate working with Realtors, mortgage brokers, strata managers and most importantly with the public. She joined our group 5 years ago and we have never looked back – developing our book of business in Schoenne Appraisals & Consulting Ltd. in Penticton, Cascade Valuation Group in the Fraser Valley and supporting the operations of Harvey’s Executive Business – North Country Appraisals Ltd. throughout British Columbia. We have also developed a specialty service – Guardian Insurance Appraisals Inc. which offers replacement cost insurance appraisals, depreciation/reserve fund studies and fire insurance loss estimates.
When not working Tammy can be found boating, exploring the outdoors and just being a good friend in her very wide circle of friends. Tammy is born and raised in Kelowna and breathes and lives the Beautiful Okanagan.
We are pleased to have her as our quarterback on our team in the game of business.
Andy Jones
Operations Manager
Andy is our Operations Manager for our North Country Appraisals Group of Companies. He has over 30 years of sales & management experience. He strives to help create the best team and implement strategic systems & processes to ensure success and simplicity for all.
He has worked in the motorsports industry, both distribution & retail for 25 years. He has successfully helped companies grow exponentially while assisting to implement new systems & processes. While he still enjoys riding on and off road he also likes to occasionally “donate” fishing lures around the many scenic lakes in BC.
